To introduce COVID 19 epidemiological features and the principles of Infection Prevention and Control of this disease (IPC).
No prior knowledge of epidemiology or molecular biology is assumed, although a basic training in a science subject or health-related discipline will be advantageous.
This is a self-taught course meaning that there is no instructor and no formal classroom teaching. The students must work through the sections and exercises at their own pace.
Each section concludes with a series of self-assessment questions, enabling the students to gauge whether they have achieved a solid understanding of the material and are ready to move on to the next session or whether the session should be repeated. As many sections apply concepts covered in earlier material, we recommend obtaining a score of 7/10 points for each self-assessment exercise before moving on to the following sessions.
