Course overview

 

This course aims to provide you with an overview of the epidemiological features and the principles of Infection Prevention and Control of COVID-19. It will introduce you to some key concepts in the epidemiology of infectious diseases, and apply these principles specifically to the case of COVID-19. Some basic molecular biology and ecology of the virus will also be covered.  

No prior knowledge of epidemiology or molecular biology is assumed, although a basic training in a science subject or health-related discipline will be advantageous. The course will provide opportunities for interaction to help you to assess your progress and understanding, for example answering questions, doing some simple calculations, or describing and interpreting tables or graphs. This course will take you approximately 6-12 hours to complete.
