This section covers control and prevention measures that are important during outbreaks of infectious disease, with specific reference to the case of COVID 19. Based on the data collected and emerging hypotheses about the source of the outbreak, the infectious agent, and probable modes of transmission, recommendations can be made for Control and Prevention. These will include the clinical management of identified cases and preventing additional cases, including active searches and contact tracing and eliminating the outbreak's source (if relevant or feasible). After the outbreak has finished, final data and reports will be compiled, and findings will be communicated (for example, to health authorities and the scientific community).
The introduction of effective vaccines has been a game-changer in the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic; Nevertheless, to fight against the airborne mode of SARS-CoV-2 contamination, several different barrier gestures are necessary: Face mask-wearing, social distancing, hand washing, frequently touched objects, and surfaces cleaning, ventilation of a closed room to renew the air, and thus dilutes the aerosols. This simple gesture is, however, carried out too little often or inefficiently
